Coton Countryside Reserve Project

Coton school children help with tree planting

Visiting the Reserve
The Martin Car Park at Wheatcases Barn on Grantchester Road, south of Coton village (TL414577) is now open (June 2008). You can also reach the Reserve using the public footpaths from West Cambridge and Newnham or you can cycle out along the Coton Footpath (also known as the Harcamlow Way or Wimpole Way) from the University Athletics Ground in Wilberforce Road, Cambridge.
The extensive network of permissive footpaths across the Reserve are waymarked and there are maps at the main entry points (e.g. from the Coton Footpath just before Coton Village Recreation Ground or at Wheatcases Barn).

Coton Countryside Reserve volunteers checking for the rare Slender Tare (Vicia tenuissima) -
a delicate herb.
Cambridge University's Active Community Fund has helped to support volunteering at CCR.
